Eoin Himpers-McLoughlin

Eoin joined the firm in September 2021 and is an associate in the firm’s Construction Team.
He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters on large private and public sector projects in Ireland. Eoin is also a key member of the team that advises clients of the Dublin office under the firm’s “In-House Lawyer” service.
Eoin has experience in preparing and negotiating suites of template contract documents. He has particular expertise in negotiating terms of bespoke private sector professional appointments for a variety of consultants – mechanical & electrical, civil and structural, architectural, and consultants appointed to carry out statutory roles under Building Regulations and Construction Regulations in Ireland.
Eoin also advises on contractual documentation on public sector projects. This includes advising on issues relevant to the PWC standard contract forms and ancillary documents: collateral warranties, letters of reliance, interim and final project conformity statements and certificates of compliance.
His disputes work involves advising clients and their insurers in large, high-value multi-party High Court matters, as well as alternative dispute resolution fora, predominantly mediation.
Eoin completed his professional mediation training in July 2021 and completed two diplomas in construction law, achieving an award of high distinction for both courses.
